Fieldschool 2010 in Wiota, Wisconsin. Photo by D. Finnegan.
Anna's courses emphasize using local buildings and landscapes as teaching tools. Summer fieldschools are based in south-central and southwestern Wisconsin; they are intended as immersion experiences designed to give students practical, hands on training in architectural and landscape historical research. Products of these fieldschools and other upper-level courses are shared with the communities in which the classes are based in the form of reports, publications, or websites (some products are linked under the resources tab of this site).
